Rachel Aliene Corrie (10 April 1979 – 16 March 2003) was an American political activist, known for her support of Palestinians. As a member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), she died while attempting to intervene in the demolition of a Palestinian home in Gaza. . . On 28 August 2012, the Haifa District Court ruled that Corrie's death was an accident for which she was responsible and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were absolved of any wrongdoing.
